#WebWeds: Boosting Your Brand Through Instagram

We love Instagram. It’s the perfect visual platform for your business to use for sharing photos and videos of your product or service. It’s fun to curate your feed with beautiful photos, and we love the functionality that Instagram Stories adds.

It’s easy to see success through Instagram, as long as you’re following one key strategy: consistency.

In order to really resonate with your audience, it’s important to be consistent with all of your marketing. This helps to strengthen your brand and create customer loyalty by creating an emotional connection between your business and your audience.

Here are our four tips for creating consistency in your Instagram feed.

1. Consistent Messaging

Your content should reinforce your brand. You know your business’s vision. What content can you share that represents what you want your business to be known for, and what you’re hoping to gain from your marketing?

2. Consistent Visuals

Your visuals are one of the most important parts of your branding. You want your customers to be able to recognize one of your Instagram photos without even seeing your business name or logo. You want to create a cohesive feed that uses the same filters, colors, and graphics.

3. Consistent Fonts

Another way to reinforce your brand is to keep the same one or two fonts in all of your marketing, graphics, web design, etc. When your logo and branding is created, you should have only one or two fonts: a main font and possibly a secondary font. Use only those in each of your graphics, quotes, and type.

4. Consistent Timing

Additionally, you want your customers to grow to look forward to your posts. Keep a consistent posting schedule for all of your content, including your Instagram feed. Even with the algorithm in place, most of your Instagram reach is going to come within the first couple of hours of posting.

Consistency is key to seeing success in any marketing strategy, but especially on Instagram. You cannot expect to grow your following and strengthen your brand with sporadic posting and mismatched messaging.
